Job Overview: As a Cloud Data Architect, you will lead architectural decisions for the Cloud and Data Enterprise Portfolios. This role requires a deep understanding of technical architecture and hands-on experience implementing solutions in cloud environments, particularly AWS or Azure. You will design modern, scalable, secure, and resilient solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and security. Expertise in microservices architectures, MLOps platforms, and multi-cloud environments is highly desirable.
Responsibilities: - Act as a trusted advisor to business teams, understanding requirements for cloud implementations.
- Provide recommendations for cloud migration and develop technical implementation roadmaps for AWS adoption.
- Create application architecture, data architecture, deployment architectures, and functional design specifications.
- Design secure and compliant cloud solutions that meet availability, performance, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with Information Security, Compliance, and other teams to develop secure cloud solutions.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive hands-on experience in application development, engineering, and solution architecture.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a solution architect working with AWS or Azure.
- Experience with Architecture principles and the TOGAF framework is a plus.
- AWS Professional Certification preferred; AWS or Azure Architecture Associate Certification required.
- CISSP or equivalent security certification is a plus.
Technical Expertise: - Expertise in managing Enterprise Data Platforms, including Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Data Marts.
- Experience with real-time and near real-time data streaming platforms.
- Proficiency in Python or Java and designing large-scale APIs and microservices.
- Extensive experience with MLOps frameworks and enterprise ML lifecycle automation.
- Experience with microservice orchestration using AWS ECS, EKS, Lambda, and other services.
- Proficiency with AWS services such as RDS PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, and IAM.
- Strong background in cloud security and secure-by-default architectures.
Soft Skills: - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to create compelling visual concepts and technical diagrams.
- Effective cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder influence skills.
- Skilled in strategic planning, option analysis, and roadmap development.

Pay Range: $70 - $90/hour on W2
