A leading civil engineering and land development consulting firm is seeking a Land Development Civil Engineer to support a variety of residential, commercial, and municipal infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have experience designing site development projects and performing engineering analysis related to grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and permitting.

This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with engineers, planners, developers, contractors, and clients while contributing to projects from initial feasibility through construction completion.

Job Details

Responsibilities
  • Prepare engineering design plans, calculations, technical reports, and construction documents
  • Perform grading, drainage, stormwater, water quality, utility, and infrastructure calculations
  • Develop site plans, utility plans, drainage plans, and construction drawings for land development projects
  • Support residential, commercial, and master-planned community developments
  • Coordinate designs with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and clients
  • Participate in project meetings and design reviews
  • Assist with project schedules, budgets, and cost estimates
  • Coordinate permitting efforts with local, state, and federal agencies
  • Ensure designs comply with zoning requirements and municipal regulations
  • Resolve design challenges and construction conflicts in the field

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • EIT or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Previous land development design experience required
  • Experience with residential and commercial development projects preferred
  • Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater, and utility design
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D required
  • Experience with GIS preferred
  • Experience with ICPR or SWMM stormwater modeling preferred
  • Roadway design experience is a plus
