Summary: The Mechanical Designer designs and develops HVAC and building utility mechanical systems for industrial projects. Supports projects from concept through construction documentation, working closely with multi-discipline teams in a BIM environment. Designers apply standard drafting techniques to generate and interpret drawings to ensure client design standards and practices are followed.

Responsibilities:

Design HVAC systems including: air handling systems, ductwork and piping layouts and routing, chilled water and hot water systems, boilers and heating/cooling systems, dust collection and compressed air systems.
Develop construction documents using Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
Perform load calculations, equipment sizing and selection and system layout and coordination.
Coordinate with Architects, engineering and project managers.

Qualifications:

Industrial HVAC and building utility design experience is required.
Proficient in standard drafting techniques.
Proficiency in Revit is required.
5+ years design experience.
Good written and oral communication skills and presentation skills.
Decision making skills and the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
High School Diploma required.
