Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Java Developer for a hybrid position (3 days onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX or Pennington, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. As a core member of the Global Capital Markets Technology team, the candidate will work in a fast-paced environment as a senior developer and hands-on lead, responsible for executing strategic initiatives. This role requires deep technical expertise in the design, development, and troubleshooting of complex issues to support a key global platform.
Responsibilities: - Execute and deliver one or more strategic initiatives
- Perform hands-on design, architecting, and development of solutions
- Dive into technical details including development and troubleshooting of complex issues
- Support various applications within the group
- Interact with senior business partners and technology management
Requirements: - 12+ years of total experience with at least 8+ years of hands-on core Java experience
- 10+ years of experience in data extraction with the ability to write SQL queries
- 7+ years in Data Analytics
- 5+ years of backend database development (Oracle preferred)
- At least 2+ years of user interface development experience using Angular 5+
- Prior experience managing or leading a team of 4-6 developers
- Middle-tier development experience with Web services, Spring Boot, and REST
- Experience with HTML/DHTML, CSS, Ajax, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux scripting
- Understanding of Single Sign-On set up, OAuth 2.0, and HTTP headers for mitigating security risks
- Skilled in the use of data wrangling and visualization tools such as Alteryx and Tableau
- Experience using SDM tools such as JIRA, Jenkins, and BitBucket
- Proven experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
Desired skills: - Advanced Tableau dashboard development abilities
- Advanced SQL writing abilities
- Experience with Python
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
