Job Description:

The Desktop Engineer / Support Technician will provide technical support for desktop systems and related hardware in a Windows-based environment.
The role includes installing, troubleshooting, and repairing devices while ensuring reliable IT support for staff.
The technician may also assist with additional infrastructure components such as security cameras, servers, and network switches.
The position operates within a correctional facility environment and requires adherence to strict security and operational protocols.

Experience:

Minimum 1 2 years of experience in desktop support or a similar role.
Experience with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of devices in a Windows-based environment.
Experience supporting end-user hardware and software systems.

Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop hardware and software.
Provide technical support for approximately 225 devices used by staff.
Diagnose and repair system and hardware issues in a Windows-based environment.
Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of security cameras, servers, and network switches as needed.
Respond to user requests and provide timely technical assistance.
Maintain system performance and ensure devices are functioning properly.
Follow security and operational procedures within the correctional facility environment.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Strong prioritization and time management skills.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Ability to work effectively under pressure.

Requirement/Must Have:

Must be at least twenty years of age.
Valid driver s license required.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in uncomfortable positions for extended periods.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Willingness to complete required training for working in a correctional facility environment.
