Role OverviewThe IT Hardware Technician is responsible for supporting end-user hardware operations, maintaining accurate asset records, and managing incidents through a ticketing system. This role works closely with IT teams and end users to ensure hardware requests, issues, and inventory activities are handled efficiently and reliably. The ideal candidate is dependable, quick to learn, and communicates effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Use ServiceNow to receive, track, update, and resolve hardware-related incidents and requests
- Perform IT asset management and inventory tracking, including receiving, tagging, deploying, and decommissioning equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation for hardware inventory, lifecycle status, and asset movement
- Support hardware requests such as device setup, replacement, and return processing
- Follow established IT processes while quickly learning new tools and procedures
- Communicate clearly with IT staff and end users regarding ticket status, hardware needs, and next steps
Required Skills & Qualifications- Experience working with ServiceNow or a similar ITSM/ticketing platform
- Hands-on experience with IT asset management or inventory management
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Dependable, reliable, and able to work consistently with minimal supervision
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and procedures
- Clear verbal and written communication skills

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Baltimore, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
