Standard Printing Company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our building, equipment, and grounds. Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing facility and equipment maintenance, including basic mechanical and electrical repairs, coordinating with contractors, managing work orders, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our building and grounds. A working knowledge of electrical systems is a strong plus.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
May require occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call support as business needs demand.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform basic mechanical and electrical repairs on facility equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain building systems including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing components.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA regulations and applicable building codes.
  • Manage and prioritize work orders to meet operational needs.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for larger repair projects and specialized services.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
  • Maintain proper storage, condition, and inventory of tools and equipment.
  • Order and replenish maintenance supplies as needed.
  • Maintain facility grounds, including landscaping and snow removal.
  • Support preventive maintenance initiatives to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.


Qualifications and Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • Prior experience as a maintenance technician in a commercial or industrial environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems required; working knowledge of electrical systems strongly preferred.
  • Experience with manufacturing or production equipment maintenance is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills for work order management and reporting.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including walking, standing, lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions.
