Analog Devices' rapid research and development group is seeking a
Staff Software Engineer with a strong background in full-stack development and hardware-software integration. This role is ideal for a self-motivated engineer who thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys solving complex, ambiguous problems.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain software for biomedical and volatile organic components (VOC) detection and diagnostic systems
- Build user interfaces, APIs, and data pipelines for detection and analysis platforms
- Implement and optimize software for real-time control and data acquisition
- Translate customer and internal requirements into software specifications and designs
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, biomedical engineers, and lab personnel
Minimum Qualifications- 10+ years of full-time software engineering experience, with 5+ years Python Development
- Proven experience building and maintaining complex web applications
- Proficiency in Python and related technologies (Poetry, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy)
- Experience developing large-scale React applications using TypeScript
- Strong understanding of UI/UX design trade-offs and technical feasibility
- Extensive experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, or MongoDB, including schema migrations and ORM/ODM debugging
- Experience building and scaling cloud applications on AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure
- Experience integrating and working with message brokers such as RabbitMQ
Preferred Qualifications- Ability to develop cross-platform solutions
- General understanding of hardware-software integration
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools
- Strong grasp of system design and software architecture
- Familiarity with C, C++, or C# is a plus
About the TeamThis role is part of a fast-moving R&D group focused on developing innovative solutions in biomedical and detection technologies. You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team of engineers and researchers, contributing to impactful projects that bridge software and hardware.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $134,644 to $201,966.
