Must have :
As a Senior AWS Infrastructure Engineer with our SF Bay Area client, you will be the engineer keeping their mid-peninsula engineering organization running, owning AWS systems, monitoring, lab equipment,
and the internal IT services that engineering depends on every day. You will work hands-on across Linux administration, build pipelines, virtualization, AWS, lab operations, and tier-1 internal support, and
partner closely.
What You ll Do:
- Architect with Purpose: Design cloud-native infrastructure in AWS that scales seamlessly across regions and workloads.
- Automate Relentlessly: Build Terraform modules and tooling to make infrastructure creation fast, safe, and repeatable.
- Engineer for Reliability: Implement fault-tolerant, self-healing systems to minimize downtime and maximize performance.
- Secure from the Start: Embed IAM, networking, and observability into every layer of the stack.
- Optimize and Evolve: Continuously refine cost, performance, and deployment workflows as we scale.
- What You Bring:
- 3 5 years of experience building and managing AWS environments.
- Deep knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code best practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and monitoring stacks.
- A systems thinker who thrives on structure, scalability, and clean automation.

Should Have Attributes/Skills :
- Experience coordinating with external IT vendors and managing compliance-adjacent IT projects (security audits, vendor management).
- Experience operating in a regulated or compliance-sensitive engineering environment.

Familiarity with Elasticsearch operations (client s legacy systems; may require migration or retirement
