Quality Analyst (Tester) Java / Mainframe (previously DOL experience is must)

Title : Quality Analyst (Tester) Java / Mainframe Location: Metro Atlanta, GA (Onsite Local Candidates Only)

Duration: 12+ Months

Must be local to Metro Atlanta
Onsite work required
Previous DOL experience preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and develop test plans, scenarios, and test cases
• Perform testing for Java applications on distributed platforms
• Validate data using DB2 and PostgreSQL (queries & data verification)
• Execute test cycles, review results, and ensure accuracy of changes
• Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA
• Prepare technical and user-level documentation
• Collaborate with teams to meet testing goals and deadlines

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in testing Java applications
Strong experience with DB2 and PostgreSQL
Hands-on experience with JIRA
Solid understanding of SDLC (test case creation, execution, integration testing)
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
Experience with data validation and reporting
Excellent communication skills for stakeholder coordination
Ability to follow structured code migration and deployment processes

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Java programming knowledge
• Experience with AWS
• Familiarity with Kofax
• Exposure to mainframe environments (JCL, IBM/DELL systems)
