Position Summary
4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Database Architects to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client’s project requirements and company delivery standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for:
Design and document graph data architectures, data models, ontologies, and contextual data layers to support business requirements and enterprise information management objectives.
Establish architecture standards, modeling guidelines, implementation approaches, and technical best practices while evaluating suitable database technologies and platforms.
Develop and support initial implementations of graph-based data solutions, collaborating with engineering teams to validate designs, integrate data sources, and prepare solutions for production use.
Assess technical options, identify architectural risks, resolve complex modeling challenges, and communicate recommendations to stakeholders while coordinating implementation plans and engineering activities.
Minimum Qualifications
The position requires:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
6–9 years of experience in data modeling, data architecture, database design, or related technical disciplines. Hands-on experience with knowledge graphs, graph data modeling, ontologies, and enterprise data solution implementation is required.

Graph Data Modeling, Knowledge Graphs, Data Architecture, Ontology Design, AWS, Amazon Neptune, Neo4j, Database Design, Data Integration, Solution Architecture
Business / Domain Skills:
Experience designing enterprise data models and knowledge-based solutions that connect business entities, relationships, concepts, and contextual information.
Experience translating complex business requirements into structured data models, reusable data definitions, and integrated information architectures.
Experience supporting enterprise data initiatives involving multiple data sources, interconnected business entities, information discovery, and cross-functional engineering teams.
Experience working with property insurance or other data-intensive industries involving complex business relationships, policy information, risk data, and operational processes is beneficial.
Communication:
Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
Documentation:
Ability to prepare project documentation, status updates, and deliverables.
Work Authorization:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship may be considered where permitted by company policy and project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience establishing architecture standards, technical direction, and implementation roadmaps while remaining actively involved in solution development.
Knowledge of graph database technologies, cloud-based data platforms, and approaches for deploying scalable enterprise data solutions.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to challenge assumptions and recommend practical technical solutions.
