Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Application Programmer to support a critical Treasury portfolio within a major financial institution. The candidate shall deliver robust production support across multi-platform environments, leverage AI and modern monitoring tools, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve application resiliency, stability, and operational efficiency.


Responsibilities:



  • Respond to and resolve business queries for ERFT space and manage the user query mailbox with timely, appropriate updates.

  • Communicate application health and status to line of business and management through clear reporting and updates.

  • Drive improvements in monitoring, application stability, and root-cause determination speed.

  • Support integrated and independent releases, software and hardware upgrades, and server upgrades with Technology Infrastructure and Development teams.

  • Manage alerts and monitoring, and resolve feed and batch support items across shared platforms including Hadoop, Cloud, Grids, and containers.

  • Utilize ITSM, ITRS, JIRA, DynaTrace, and Splunk for updates, reporting, and operational analytics.

  • Perform incident management, provide accurate user notifications, and manage escalations as needed.

  • Maintain documentation and knowledge articles to support operational excellence and resiliency.

  • Coordinate with development teams for issue resolution and problem management, including follow-ups and root-cause analysis.

  • Assist with metrics reporting and produce dashboards as required.

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute Business Continuity testing and maintain related documentation.

  • Organize and run meetings independently to drive timely issue resolution.

  • Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual, repeating tasks and improve efficiency using scripting and AI tools.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of production support experience in enterprise environments.

  • Strong SQL proficiency and hands-on experience with Oracle and Teradata databases.

  • Strong UNIX/Linux knowledge, including shell and Python scripting for automation.

  • Working knowledge of ITIL concepts, including Incident and Problem Management, with tools such as ITSM Remedy or MyITSM.

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and ITRS, and job scheduling with Autosys and Bob.

  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies, with JIRA usage.

  • Ability to work effectively in multi-regional teams and operate in high-pressure situations with sound judgment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Preferred Skills:



  • Financial services experience with knowledge of Treasury and Liquidity business domains.

  • Experience with Hadoop ecosystems, Quartz, grid computing, cloud platforms, and containerized deployments.

  • Operations exposure with Windows OS and dashboarding with Tableau.

  • Proficiency with AI tools to augment day-to-day analysis and automation.
