Project Manager Scrum Master

Job Description:

Experienced Certified Scrum Master (CSM) with 3–5 years of experience supporting Agile teams, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and coordinating end-to-end delivery activities. Proficient in Agile methodologies, Scrum framework, Azure DevOps, backlog management, sprint planning, and Agile delivery metrics. Skilled in maintaining work items, creating and refining user stories and tasks, managing dashboards, tracking sprint progress, and ensuring accurate delivery reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement sessions.
• Manage and maintain product backlogs, sprint backlogs, user stories, tasks, bugs, and work items using Azure DevOps or similar Agile project management tools.
• Create, update, and refine Azure DevOps cards with clear descriptions, acceptance criteria, priorities, and ownership.
• Track and report Agile delivery metrics, including sprint velocity, burndown charts, sprint progress, risks, blockers, and project status.
• Maintain Azure DevOps dashboards and ensure accurate, timely, and transparent reporting of team performance and delivery progress.
• Collaborate closely with the Development Manager, Product Owners, developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to maintain team alignment and delivery commitments.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve impediments by performing initial analysis before escalating issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Track risks, dependencies, action items, decisions, and follow-ups to ensure accountability and timely resolution.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and facilitate communication to minimize delivery delays and improve collaboration.
• Document meeting outcomes, project updates, decisions, risks, and action items to maintain clear and accessible project records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and recommending improvements to team workflows and Agile practices.
• Promote Agile values, transparency, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across delivery teams.
• Monitor sprint execution, identify potential delivery risks, and work with team members to improve predictability and overall delivery performance.
• Support Agile maturity initiatives and process standardization within enterprise project environments.

Required Skills:

• 3–5 years of experience as a Scrum Master supporting Agile teams.
• Strong knowledge of Agile principles, Scrum framework, and Agile delivery practices.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Boards, Jira, or similar work management tools.
• Experience in sprint planning, backlog management, user story refinement, and Scrum ceremony facilitation.
• Knowledge of Agile metrics, velocity tracking, burndown charts, dashboards, and delivery reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Experience with risk management, impediment resolution, dependency tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience supporting enterprise-level or government projects.
• Familiarity with Agile transformation, Agile maturity assessments, and process improvement initiatives.
• Experience collaborating with Development Managers and cross-functional technical teams.
