Job Role - Software Engineer (C/C++/Linux)

Location - Bossier City, LA

Duration: Contract to Hire/Full Time

Job Description:

We have an immediate need for a Software Engineer. Qualified candidates should have 2+ years of experience with C, C++, and Linux, and have the ability to obtain an Interim DoD Secret Clearance and Security+ Certification.

Client can sponsor both the clearance and certification process for qualified candidates. Candidates with an active DoD Secret Clearance are preferred; however, we can support the clearance process for candidates who are eligible to obtain one.

We are open to relocation candidates for this role as well could be a foot in the door for someone who is interested in getting into government work and a clearance.

Security Clearance Level: Active secret clearance OR previously held secret clearance preferred, must have ability to obtain interim clearance at minimum.

Our work depends on a Software Developer joining our team for application development.

• Works with the team to analyze requirements, participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to resolve technical and usability issues.

• Assists with designing software, creating models/diagrams, performing updates, testing, debugging, and documenting systems that support mission-critical applications.
• Uses programming, analysis, design, debugging, testing, and documentation tools to build and maintain high-quality, enterprise-wide software solutions.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Required Education: BA/BS degree and (additional years can be considered in lieu of degree)

Required Experience: 2+ years of related Linux experience

Required Technical Skills: C, C++, Linux, System/Software Design, GitLab and Java

Required Skills and Abilities: Application Development, Software Development, Problem Solving, understanding network communication

Preferred Skills: History of developing applications and troubleshooting issues within the code, Writing in C, C++ along with development of scripts, Compiling code using GCC and Make file systems
