Role Overview
We are seeking a high-impact Program Manager with deep Scrum expertise to lead delivery across a complex, multi-team Agile environment within a large-scale insurance transformation.
This is not a traditional Scrum Master role we need someone who drives outcomes, owns delivery, and operates at program level across multiple teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced, enterprise setting.
What You ll Do
Delivery Leadership & Program Execution
- Own and drive end-to-end delivery across multiple Agile teams
- Manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and delivery timelines
- Proactively remove blockers and resolve issues impacting delivery
- Ensure predictable sprint and PI outcomes, not just reporting status
Agile Leadership (Hands-On)
- Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies:
- Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives
- Backlog Refinement (critical)
- Drive continuous improvement and Agile maturity across teams
- Coach teams on best practices and execution discipline
SAFe / Program-Level Execution
- Play a key role in PI Planning, including:
- Cross-team dependency identification
- Breakout sessions and coordination
- Commitment alignment and execution tracking
- Partner closely with RTEs, Product Managers, and Engineering teams
Cross-Team & Cross-Tech Coordination
- Lead coordination across:
- Multiple Agile teams
- Platform/integration teams
- External vendors (co-sourced model)
- Drive alignment across business, technology, and leadership stakeholders
Release, DevOps & Quality Management
- Coordinate release planning and execution
- Work through change management processes (CAB/CMR)
- Partner with DevOps teams for deployments and environments
- Ensure strong QA cycles and UAT sign-offs
Agile Tools & Execution Tracking
- Use Jira (or similar tools) to:
- Manage backlog, stories, and defects
- Track delivery progress and dependencies
- Maintain clear visibility into risks, issues, and delivery metrics
What We re Looking For
Required Experience
- 10+ years of IT experience, including:
- 5+ years as a Scrum Master / Agile Lead
- Program-level delivery experience across multiple teams
- Proven ability to drive delivery (not just facilitate ceremonies)
- Strong experience in SAFe / Agile Release Train (ART) environments
- Hands-on experience with:
- PI Planning
- Cross-team dependency management
- Blocker resolution in complex environments
- Experience working in fast-paced, enterprise delivery organizations
Must-Have Skills
- Strong delivery ownership mindset
- Deep understanding of Scrum + program-level Agile execution
- Experience coordinating across:
- Engineering, QA, Product, and Business
- Solid understanding of:
- Release management
- DevOps processes
- QA / UAT cycles
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred
- Insurance or Financial Services experience
- Experience in large-scale transformation programs
- SAFe certifications (SSM, SASM, RTE) or PMP
