Responsibilities :
The program is staffing six (6) Lab Instructor positions to facilitate six 3-hour laboratory sessions per week: three (3) sections of Introduction to Patient Care and three (3) sections of Introduction to Radiography, with approximately six (6) students per lab. Instructors demonstrate and supervise energized and non-energized laboratory practice, reinforce radiation-safety and patient-care principles, and evaluate students' skill acquisition in a safe, equitable, and well-supervised environment consistent with JRCERT Standards, including the 1:1 student-to-equipment ratio for laboratory practice.
Required Skills :
  • Associate's degree in radiologic technology or a related field (or equivalent experience / training).
  • Current, unrestricted ARRT certification and registration in Radiography - R(R).
  • Current California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) / state radiologic technology license.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification for healthcare providers.
  • Applied clinical knowledge of radiographic positioning, equipment operation, image production, and patient-care skills sufficient to demonstrate and supervise laboratory practice.
  • Knowledge of radiation-safety and patient-safety principles, including ALARA, shielding, collimation, infection control, and safe patient handling.
  • Familiarity with JRCERT Standards applicable to laboratory instruction, including the 1:1 student-to-equipment ratio and direct-supervision expectations.
  • Skill in demonstrating psychomotor techniques and in evaluating students' skill acquisition with objective, documented criteria.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for small-group instruction, feedback, and student support.
  • Ability to manage a safe, organized, and equitable laboratory environment for small student groups.
  • Ability to align laboratory activities with didactic content and program learning outcomes.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and learning-management/clinical-tracking platforms.
