Plastics Press Operator

A local manufacturer in the Erie, PA area is seeking press operators to join their manufacturing team. As a Plastics Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring plastic injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic products according to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate plastic injection molding machines to produce plastic parts based on established production schedules and quality standards.

• Monitor and control the operation of the press, observing gauges, indicators, and machine functions to ensure proper functioning and identify any abnormalities.

• Perform quality inspections on each part to verify the product s dimensions, appearance, and overall quality, adhering to defined specifications.

• Maintain accurate records of production data, machine settings, and any adjustments made during shift.

• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to create a safe working environment, including wearing personal protective equipment and following proper handling and disposal procedures for plastic materials and waste.

• Comply with company policies, procedures, and quality standards to meet customer requirements and maintain consistent product quality.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

• Basic computer skills for data entry and machine control panel operation.

• Good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and adapt to changing priorities.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to adhere to them at all times.

• Manufacturing background a plus

Benefits/Compensation

• Full Time

• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift Available

• Pay Rate is $13-$15 per hour

• Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts

• Benefits available while employed through Career Concepts

• Temp-To-Hire
