Summary

As a Data Delivery Manager specializing in data migration projects, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of data migration initiatives. Your primary goal will be to ensure seamless transitions of data between systems while maintaining data integrity and minimizing downtime.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage data migration projects from pre-sales to completion, ensuring alignment with client objectives
  • Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and define project scope, focusing on data migration strategies and methodologies
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets tailored to data migration initiatives
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery
  • Ensure adherence to best practices and standards in data management, data quality, and data governance throughout the migration process and data migration strategy
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement effective data migration solutions, including ETL processes and data mapping
  • Conduct regular project reviews and provide status updates to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and achievements in the migration process
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members, ensuring a shared understanding of project goals and timelines

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of IT experience, with at least 5+ years in lead roles such as Delivery Manager or Project Manager
  • Strong knowledge of data migration methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Hands-on experience with data integration and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi, Spark pipelines)
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, and risk management, specifically for data migration projects
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing project requirements
  • Professional managerial certifications: PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, SAFe
  • Strong experience in the Fixed-fee contract typed projects
  • Technical certifications: Databricks, CDMP, etc.
  • Strong technical background in the area of data engineering, modeling or architecture, and generative AI applications development is a plus
  • Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus
