Summary

Job Title: Identity & Access Management Engineer

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 months+ contract

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Identity and Access Management Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise identity solutions across Ping Identity, Microsoft Active Directory, and CrowdStrike Identity Protect. This role plays a key part in protecting the identity perimeter as credential-based threats and advanced attacks continue to evolve. The engineer will collaborate with security, IT, and application teams to reduce identity risk and ensure access controls align with zero trust principles.

Responsibilities:

Ping Identity

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Ping Identity components including PingFederate, PingAccess, and PingDirectory

• Design and implement federated single sign on, multi factor authentication, and adaptive authentication flows

• Manage API security and OAuth and OpenID Connect integrations with enterprise applications

• Perform platform upgrades, patching, and performance tuning in production environments

• Develop custom integration connectors and authentication policies

Active Directory

• Administer and maintain on premises Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID environments

• Design and enforce group policy, organizational unit structure, and privileged access controls

• Monitor Active Directory health, replication, and audit logs

• Identify and remediate security gaps and misconfigurations

• Support hybrid identity environments including directory synchronization and conditional access

• Participate in security assessments and remediation of identity related risks

CrowdStrike Identity Protect

• Deploy and configure CrowdStrike Falcon Identity Threat Protection

• Develop detection rules and response playbooks for identity based threats

• Integrate identity protection tooling with Active Directory, Entra ID, and security platforms

• Tune identity risk scoring and detection capabilities

• Partner with security operations teams to triage and respond to incidents

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience in identity and access management engineering

• Hands on experience with two or more platforms such as Ping Identity, Active Directory, or Microsoft Entra ID

• Strong understanding of identity protocols including SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Kerberos, and LDAP

• Experience with identity threat detection platforms such as CrowdStrike or similar

• Working knowledge of zero trust principles and privileged access management concepts

• Proficiency with PowerShell for automation

• Ability to collaborate across application, security, and IT teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Ping Identity certification such as Ping Certified Identity Professional

• Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator certification

• Experience with privileged access management platforms such as CyberArk or BeyondTrust

• Experience with identity governance platforms such as SailPoint or Saviynt

• Familiarity with digital identity standards and zero trust architectures

• Experience working in regulated industries such as energy, utilities, or financial services
