This position works out of our Altavista, VA location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. What You?ll Work On
- PLC programming and troubleshooting in Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogix or Modicon platforms
- HMI/SCADA programming and troubleshooting in Ignition, FactoryTalk View SE/ME, iFix, DeltaV
- Install and troubleshoot temperature / pressure / level / conductivity / PH instrumentation, sensors, and other field I/O devices
- Provide technical support on design, development, implementation, optimization, and validation of processing and packaging equipment
- Maintain knowledge of new developments in manufacturing and design technologies.
- Complies withU.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies and operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technical Field
- Minimum 2 years Engineering experience.
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an FDA Regulated environment.
- Experience developing manufacturing processes and technologies and designing for manufacturability.
