Cable Technician (Data Center)

Job Overview

TEKsystems is hiring Entry-Level Cable Technicians to support large-scale data center infrastructure builds. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn structured cabling and gain real-world experience in a fast-growing industry. In this role, you'll work side-by-side with experienced technicians and team leads, learning the fundamentals of data center cabling while contributing to critical infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull copper and fiber cable throughout a data center environment
• Drop cable down walls using fish tape or approved methods
• Route cable through infrastructure such as cable trays, J-hooks, D-rings, bridal rings, and trapeze systems
• Perform pre-termination work: organizing, dressing, labeling, and determining correct cable length and slack
• Install cable trays, pathways, and server racks
• Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cabling as required
• Terminate low-voltage devices
• Read and follow prints and diagrams
• Accurately complete all required documentation (timesheets, work orders, material transfers, tool transfers, and change orders)
• Follow all TEKsystems, customer, and industry safety and quality standards
• Complete additional tasks as assigned

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Sandston, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
