Job Description:

Required Skills:

•              Experience using AI tools to improve efficiency in software architecture, code reviews, and software testing

•              12+ years of experience building and scaling production front-end systems, including React and its ecosystem, with a track record of setting technical direction beyond your own team.

•              Deep expertise in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, with the judgment to know when to deviate from convention.

•              Deep, opinionated expertise in Tailwind CSS — including strong views on best practices for rationalizing and componentizing a large-scale codebase built on it.

•              Demonstrated experience influencing technical strategy across multiple teams or a full engineering org, not just within a single codebase.

•              Strong track record mentoring and growing senior/staff-level engineers.

•              Comfort operating in ambiguity — defining problems and roadmaps, not just solving pre-defined tickets.

•              Fluency in UI/UX principles and cross-browser/performance considerations, with the ability to set standards other engineers follow.

•              Experience integrating deeply with modern search platforms (e.g., Algolia or similar BM25-based search) on the client side.

•              Strong experience with A/B testing and feature flag systems, with a track record of enabling teams to run experiments without a constant reliance on engineering.

•              Deep knowledge of linting and static analysis (ESLint at minimum) and end-to-end testing with Playwright — treating strong typing, linting, and test coverage as the first line of defense against bugs, especially as more code is written with AI assistance.

•              Experience building e-commerce customer portals at scale.

•              Experience leading frontend architecture decisions for a platform serving high concurrent traffic.
