The position supports mission critical investment and trading applications, providing front-line production support to operations, portfolio management, compliance, and trading teams. The technology environment includes Linux, SQL Server, Git, batch scheduling tools, and cloud/DevOps platforms.
This opportunity is best suited for a highly technical production support engineer who enjoys working in live environments and wearing multiple hats. Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience supporting live production environments
- Advanced SQL (queries, troubleshooting, error resolution)
- Strong Linux command line skills
- Experience with Git or other distributed version control systems
- Experience with batch scheduling / workload automation tools (Control-M preferred; Autosys, ActiveBatch, Tivoli, JAMs, etc.)
- Experience with multi-tier application deployments
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Undergraduate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
- Background supporting financial or investment systems
- Cloud / DevSecOps experience (Azure, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Vault)
- Scripting experience (Bash, Shell)
- Familiarity with Java, Python, REST APIs, Kafka/JMS
- Monitoring tools such as Grafana or Datadog
