Title: Cloud Engineer

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)

Duration: Contract to hire: 12-month contract to perm

Description:

A Cloud Engineer at Client designs, builds, and maintains scalable cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure. The role requires automating deployment through CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical designs, and ensuring all cloud systems comply with banking security and regulatory standards.

Core Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and optimize cloud systems.
Automation: Build autonomous CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments and infrastructure automation.
Security & Compliance: Implement security controls for cloud-based systems and adhere to banking regulations and enterprise architecture standards.
Troubleshooting & Support: Resolve incidents related to cloud environments and monitor system performance and capacity.
Collaboration: Translate internal client needs and business strategies into technical designs and requirements.

Key Requirements & Skills

Experience: 5+ years of relevant cloud engineering, software engineering, or data engineering experience.
Platform Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and associated data services.
Scripting & Code: Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala, along with robust scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell).
Tooling & DevOps: Experience with CI/CD tools (Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and Infrastructure-as-Code.
Banking Domain: Understanding of financial services industry standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, PII) is highly preferred.
