Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and administer Teradata database environments across development, test, and production.
  • Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.
  • Execute backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance and query efficiency.
  • Implement database security, access controls, and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Provide L2/L3 production support and incident resolution.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, ETL developers, and business teams.
  • Support data integration, migration, and modernization initiatives.

Required Qualifications
  • 3-6 years of experience as a Database Administrator with strong Teradata experience.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise data warehouse environments.
  • Strong SQL and query performance tuning skills.
  • Experience with Teradata utilities (BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT).
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Exposure to data modernization programs.
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica or DataStage.
  • Healthcare industry experience.

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is [$95.11/hr on W2]. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
