Description

Description of Duties:

Execute the duties and responsibilities as a member of the Deployment Team at the DOS DT bureau.
Supports the design, installation, maintenance, administration, and support of internal computer systems and networks in a multi-protocol LAN/WAN environment.
Works with managers to determine system needs.
Training new Systems Engineers.
Responsible for the installation and upgrades to operating systems and other application software.
Provides Tier 2 support, including troubleshooting and problem resolution, for all LAN/WAN hardware and software.
Maintains and manages connectivity using TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, NDS, Windows Server strategies and protocols.
Maintains and manages cross platform inter-connectivity including communication protocols, directory services and log in authentication.
Maintains and manages connectivity between multiple remote locations using WAN equipment and services.
Maintains and manages LAN/WAN security requirements through proper software/hardware tools and procedures including router and firewall management.
Assists with end-to-end support for remote users of specialized remote control computer systems.
Assists with consultation in network and computer operations, design, planning, and maintenance.
May support research and contribute recommendations for products for evaluation, testing, implementation, and integration.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.

Qualifications

Required Experience/Skills/Attributes:

Knowledge or Training on VMware and ESX 6.0+ deployment, configuration, and maintenance.
Excellent communication skills.
Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; may accept additional experience in lieu of degree.

Desired Experience/Skills/Attributes:

Knowledge or Training on HPDM 5.0 deployment, configuration, and maintenance.
Active Directory experience, particularly in a large environment.
Strong scripting skills.
LAN/WAN networking experience.
Ability to apply ITIL v3 Foundation concepts within the workplace.
DOS processes.
Experience working with customers to capture/document requirements.
