We are recruiting a Development Engineer on behalf of a large, enterprise-scale organization operating in the retail and consumer services industry. This organization supports complex, high-traffic digital platforms that enable millions of users and power critical business operations.
In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and delivery of modern software solutions that support strategic business initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment, working on scalable systems that emphasize quality, reliability, and performance.

Job Description
As a Development Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality software solutions that align with business goals and technical standards. Key responsibilities include:
  • Designing, developing, and testing code to deliver functionality aligned with business strategy and objectives
  • Implementing features from the product backlog in partnership with product owners and engineering teams
  • Estimating and sizing user stories and contributing to sprint planning activities
  • Writing unit tests, building automated test scripts, and executing testing-related tasks
  • Validating deliverables against user story acceptance criteria
  • Creating and maintaining required project and technical documentation
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure delivered features meet business and technical needs
  • Following industry-standard agile software development and documentation practices
  • Partnering with infrastructure, security, and platform teams to deliver reliable and secure solutions

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • 3–5 years of experience in a software or development engineering role
  • 1–3 years of experience working in an agile development environment
  • Strong experience with test-driven development and software test automation
  • Demonstrated experience working with agile methodologies (e.g., user stories, iterative development, sprint planning)
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing priorities
Must-Have Technical Skills
  • Java
  • Kotlin
  • Spring Boot
  • Kafka
  • GitHub
  • RDBMS (Relational Databases)
  • Redis
  • Grafana
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Scrum certification
  • Experience with PostgreSQL
  • Familiarity with ElasticSearch
  • Exposure to GenAI concepts or tools
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence for agile delivery and documentation
