Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented Desktop Support Technician to support equipment setup, configuration, and deployment within a fast-paced configuration center environment. This role will focus on preparing, testing, and packaging IT equipment while ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with unboxing, setup, and preparation of PCs, servers, and peripheral equipment for configuration and testing
- Label, package, and prepare configured equipment for shipment according to established processes
- Support technicians by preparing devices for final setup, testing, and deployment
- Follow detailed specifications to assist with basic configuration tasks and ensure accuracy of builds
- Complete customer configuration checklists to verify quality and 100% accuracy of devices
- Maintain accurate data tracking related to configuration status, schedules, and project deliverables
- Help maintain organization, cleanliness, and daily operations within the configuration center
- Develop an understanding of customer requirements and configuration workflows
Required Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of related desktop support, deployment, or configuration experience
- Ability to lift and move IT equipment (up to 75 lbs.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry and inventory tracking skills
- Solid communication skills and ability to work across teams
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications:- Associate degree or technical certification preferred
- Experience with ERP systems or inventory management tools
- Exposure to LAN/WAN environments and basic networking concepts
- Experience working in a configuration lab or deployment environment
- Familiarity with SharePoint
- Relevant IT certifications

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Shakopee, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $13.25 - $18.00/hr.
