Title: Test Manager III (Functioning Testing Analyst)
Location: Syracuse, NY 13202(Can sit anywhere but agree to coming into the office once a month that is scheduled by the director and Client will reimburse travel.)

Job Purpose
The Functional Testing Analyst is responsible for comprehensive testing of our new Kraken Customer platform and its internal and external service integrations. This platform provides the company with utility customer accounting functions (billing, payments, collections), meter data management, customer relationship management, and customer interaction services. Testing will assure functional completeness, quality, accuracy, reliability, compliance, and security of the new platform.
The functional testing analyst will support the application delivery team by analyzing requirements, creating detailed test cases, executing both manual and automated tests, reporting results, and facilitating resolution of identified functional defects. Through these testing activities, the functional testing analyst contributes to the delivery of robust solutions and continuous improvement of the company’s core customer management services.
Key Accountabilities
Analyze system requirements and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases.
Participate in test planning, design, and review sessions.
Assist in the preparation and management of test environments and test data.
Executing both manual and automated testing.
Identify, document, and monitor software defects through resolution. Work closely with the Application Delivery team (National Grid and Kraken) to effectively communicate defects and validate corrections.
Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure that established compliance, control, and service quality standards are achieved.
Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, scripts, and summary reports.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to testing processes and methodologies.
Ensure adherence to company policies, security standards, and regulatory compliance during all testing activities.
Qualifications and Experience
Proven experience in software testing, including both manual and automated approaches. Experience with test planning, design, execution, and reporting is essential.
Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks (such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar), and an understanding of test automation concepts. Ability to work with multiple test environments, manage testing data, and perform troubleshooting.
Ability to create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, scripts, and summary reports.
Capable of analyzing system requirements, identifying test scenarios, and developing comprehensive and well-structured test cases.
Effective communication and collaboration skills necessary to work closely with the Application Delivery team (client and Kraken), supporting defect resolution and validation of corrections.
Knowledge of company policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements. Commitment to ensuring compliance in all testing activities.
