Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java development, distributed systems, data processing, and modern integration technologies. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust backend applications using Java and related technologies.
• Build and optimize solutions that process large datasets and high-volume files efficiently.
• Develop multithreaded applications and improve application performance through tuning and optimization.
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs and integration services.
• Work with relational databases to design, develop, and optimize data access layers.
• Implement event-driven and messaging solutions using Kafka and/or MQTT.
• Participate in code reviews, automated testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and global development teams to deliver project objectives.
• Follow engineering best practices to ensure scalability, maintainability, and code quality.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java application development.
• Strong knowledge of Java concurrency, multithreading, and performance tuning.
• Experience building applications that handle large-scale data processing.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Batch.
• Strong understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS).
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs using JSON and XML.
• Familiarity with messaging platforms such as Kafka and/or MQTT.
• Knowledge of integration frameworks, messaging patterns, and distributed system architecture.
• Commitment to writing clean, reusable, and testable code.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python development.
• Exposure to cloud-based environments and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
