Senior Product Engineer AI & Enterprise Software Solutions

Mako Professionals is partnered with Williams, a leading energy infrastructure organization, seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join its Business Transformation & Information Technology team within AI Enterprise Solutions.

This individual will support the Project Execution business group, which includes the engineering and construction teams responsible for pipeline, facility, inspection, and large-scale capital project execution. The role will involve a combination of new project work, rapid prototyping, business-facing solution design, and day-to-day support of both internally built and vendor-supported applications.

The ideal candidate will be a strong full-stack product engineer who can work directly with business partners, quickly understand business problems, gather requirements, prototype solutions, and build production-ready applications using modern development practices and AI-assisted tools.

• Partner directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements, uncover business problems, and define practical software solutions
• Rapidly prototype ideas and iterate with users to validate functionality, user experience, and business value
• Design, develop, test, debug, and support full-stack software applications
• Build and enhance internal software products supporting engineering, construction, pipeline, facility, and project execution workflows
• Support existing in-house applications as well as vendor-supported systems
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery, automate tasks, and improve solution design
• Use tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub, Figma, Power Apps, and Power Platform to support development and prototyping efforts
• Create wireframes and front-end concepts to help business users visualize solutions before full development
• Develop scalable, maintainable applications aligned with Williams' IT standards
• Document software solutions, technical processes, and application changes
• Stay current with AI development tools, modern engineering practices, and emerging technologies

• Strong full-stack software development experience across both front-end and back-end development
• Experience gathering requirements and working directly with business users or stakeholders
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Hands-on development experience with one or more core programming languages such as:
  • Python
  • Java
  • .NET / C#
• Experience designing, building, testing, and supporting enterprise software applications
• Strong understanding of SDLC, application support, debugging, and production-ready development
• Ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, and AI-assisted development practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in a fast-moving, iterative environment

• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as:
  • Cursor
  • Claude Code
  • GitHub / GitHub Copilot
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including:
  • Power Apps
  • Power Automate
  • Power BI
• Experience with AI tools used to speed up prototyping, coding, automation, and solution delivery
• Experience using Figma for wireframing, front-end design, or user experience planning
• Experience supporting applications used by engineering, construction, field operations, capital projects, or asset-intensive industries
• Experience working in Azure DevOps or similar DevOps environments

The ideal candidate is a highly technical product engineer with strong people skills, strong business communication skills, and the ability to move quickly from idea to prototype to production-ready solution.

This person should be comfortable sitting with business partners, asking the right questions, understanding the real problem, and quickly showing users what a solution could look like. They do not need to be an expert in every AI tool, but they should have exposure to AI-assisted development and a strong willingness to learn and move quickly.
