Description

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Product Owner/Lead Software Engineer to lead our software development initiatives and manage product lifecycles. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise with product management skills to deliver innovative software solutions that meet our business objectives and exceed customer expectations.

Program Overview: The Resilient Missile Warning and Missile Tracking (RMWT) Ground Management and Integration (GMI) program will support the management and integration of ground system capabilities for missile tracking satellites. This includes the development of a primary MEO Satellite Operations Center (MSOC) and Ground Entry Points (GEPs) to facilitate the operations of missile tracking satellites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for product stakeholders, gathering and prioritizing requirements to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap, translating strategic objectives into actionable tasks for the development team.
  • Lead a team of software engineers, providing technical direction, mentorship, and support throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, sales, customer support) to ensure seamless integration of product features and alignment with broader business strategies.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and deployment of high-quality software solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular backlog grooming sessions, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure continuous improvement and timely delivery of product features.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product performance and identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Engage with customers and end-users to gather feedback and insights, incorporating their needs and preferences into the product development process.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform product strategy and innovation.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the development team, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous learning.

Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a product owner or lead engineering role.
  • Proven experience managing software products through their entire lifecycle, from concept to launch and ongoing support.
  • Strong technical background with proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, .NET).
  • Excellent understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Relevant certifications such as CSPO, CSM, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker).
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and practices.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, with a strong focus on user experience and satisfaction.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
