Systems Programmer III

Florida Department of Financial Services (DFS) is a state agency of Florida. Its headquarters are in Tallahassee, the Sunshine States Capital City. DFS is seeking candidates to join its Office of Information Technology Team to serve as a Mainframe Systems Programmer.

The successful candidate for the Systems Programmer III position should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Responsibilities:

• Install, manage and maintain CICSTS IBM software.
• Install, manage and maintain IBI IWAY, WebFocus and MRE software.
• Install, manage and maintain IBM WebSphere software.
• Use Omegamon and RMF software to monitor z/OS system lpars and CICS regions.
• Ability to work with RACF security software and generate reports.
• Ability to use VanGuard software to provide RACF definitions reports.
• Evaluate and recommend security and z/OS environment improvements.
• Hands-on technical troubleshooting with various mainframe software.
• Assist in the Disaster Recovery environment, planning and testing.
• Assist with managing the EMC enterprise storage DASD.
• Assist with managing the IBM Virtual Tape backup and restore systems.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for the assigned environments.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of z/OS systems programming experience.
• Experience with Installation and support of mainframe vendor software.
• Experience working within the z/OS operating system environment, systems programming concepts and z/OS JCL.
• Software diagnosis and correction.
• Experience on the IBM mainframe platform.
