Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer with strong expertise in Databricks and Oracle ERP systems to lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-scale data solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of modern data engineering practices, cloud-based data platforms, and ERP data integration. This role requires a combination of hands-on technical expertise, architectural leadership, and the ability to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable data pipelines and data platforms using Databricks.

  • Architect and optimize ETL/ELT processes for integrating data from Oracle ERP systems, including Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion ERP.

  • Design and maintain enterprise data models, data warehouses, and lakehouse architectures to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, and other business teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards are consistently maintained.

  • Optimize Spark and SQL workloads to improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering team members.

  • Partner with architects, analysts, and application teams to deliver reliable and scalable data solutions.

  • Support data modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 13+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or related disciplines.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark.

  • Strong expertise in PySpark, Spark SQL, and large-scale data processing frameworks.

  • Experience working with Oracle ERP platforms, including Oracle EBS and/or Oracle Fusion ERP.

  • Proven experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and enterprise data integration solutions.

  • Strong SQL development, performance tuning, and data modeling skills.

  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.

  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and security best practices.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Databricks Workflows.

  • Knowledge of Oracle Financials, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Procurement, or Order Management modules.

  • Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies.

  • Prior experience leading enterprise data engineering initiatives and distributed teams.
