Summary

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience working with federal, provincial, or broader public-sector healthcare organizations.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale IT transformation initiatives within public-sector environments.
  • Strong experience collaborating with clinicians and healthcare stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Expertise in project planning, scheduling, resource management, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Planview, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Strong understanding of information security, change control, and healthcare IT delivery practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex, high-profile healthcare IT transformation projects from initiation through implementation and transition to operations.
  • Develop and maintain project charters, integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, status reports, risk registers, and executive presentations.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, resources, financials, risks, issues, and change requests.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including business analysts, architects, developers, testers, and business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, steering committees, and executive reporting.
  • Drive business transformation, organizational change management, testing, adoption readiness, and implementation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with public-sector project governance, architecture standards, digital health standards, and project management methodologies.
  • Monitor project performance, critical path activities, resource allocation, and financial reporting using Planview and related tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with healthcare modernization, immunization, digital health, or eHealth-related initiatives.
  • Knowledge of public-sector project governance, enterprise architecture frameworks, and IT approval processes.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials preferred.
