Job Description

You will be the Systems Engineer Senior - Level 3 for the historic Skunk Works. We are looking for world-class talent for this position to join the 75+ year tradition of creating advanced aircraft.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Systems Engineer Senior - Level 3 you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end systems-engineering support for advanced aircraft programs.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Generating, decomposing, tracking, and verifying requirements; performing risk assessments and trade studies.
- Developing supplier specifications and supporting technical planning, integration, and test activities.
- Managing multiple, varied assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Collaborating across multidisciplinary teams, communicating solutions to senior leaders, and proactively elevating issues.
- Leading creative problem-solving as an emerging specialist in systems engineering.

You excel at collaborating across multidisciplinary teams, coordinating complex activities, and communicating effectively in dynamic environments. This position is in Palmdale, CA Discover Palmdale.

The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors Degree or Above from an accredited university in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical degree

Experience in systems engineering or closely-related engineering discipline

Experience with requirements definition, tracking and/or verification

Experience with digital engineering or model-based engineering

Desired skills

Experience with DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools

Experience in developing processes, procedures, and other complex formal technical documentation

Ability to work with different engineering disciplines to derive and decompose requirements

Experience developing a system architecture (or familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF))

Experience working with vendors and subcontractors, overseeing contracted work.

Knowledge of Agile SAFe methodology.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $102,800 - $178,135. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
