Job at a glance:

• This is a long-term contract, with an initial term of 6 months, planned for extension and/or permanent placement

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Full Stack .NET Developer to join a growing application development team. This individual will play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise business applications while collaborating closely with technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable enterprise applications using modern development practices.
• Lead and contribute to full software development lifecycle activities, including architecture, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
• Build and maintain both frontend and backend components of business-critical applications.
• Support, develop, and enhance ETL and data integration processes.
• Ensure application performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
• Conduct code reviews and promote development best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and development teams to deliver business-focused solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while providing ongoing application support.
• Participate in DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud modernization initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise with:
  • C#
  • .NET / .NET Core
  • React
  • Azure Cloud Services
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience with source control systems such as Git.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automated deployment processes.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Experience supporting data integration or ETL processes.
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks and modern frontend architecture.
• Experience modernizing or enhancing legacy applications.
• Prior experience in tax, financial, planning, or enterprise business applications.
• Houston-based candidates are a plus.
