Job Overview

Leidos is seeking an experienced Enterprise Mobile Application Developer to support the Social Security Administration (SSA) Digital Communication Systems (DCS) program. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modern mobile application development for both iOS and Android platforms, along with experience integrating mobile applications with legacy COBOL and Java backend systems.

This role requires hands-on experience with modern mobile technologies including Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, React Native, and Vue 3.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Develop native Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Build and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter and React Native.
• Integrate mobile applications with existing COBOL and Java backend systems.
• Collaborate with backend teams to develop RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints.
• Design API gateways to expose legacy services to modern mobile platforms.
• Write reusable, clean, and modular cross-platform mobile code.
• Work closely with UI/UX teams to implement responsive and intuitive mobile interfaces.
• Optimize application performance using Xcode Instruments and Android Profiler.
• Develop unit and integration tests for mobile applications.
• Implement automated testing frameworks such as Jest, XCTest, and Flutter Test.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Bitrise.
• Ensure application security through HTTPS, OAuth authentication, and data encryption.
• Maintain compliance with enterprise security standards and regulations.

Required Skills

• Strong experience integrating mobile applications with legacy systems.
• Experience with API development and backend integrations.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud services, version control, and testing/debugging tools.
• Experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks.
• Strong UI/UX implementation experience.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
• Must be willing to work onsite in Woodlawn, MD, 5 days per week.
• Master’s Degree with 10+ years of experience OR Bachelor’s Degree with 12+ years of experience OR 18+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Must have experience with at least 2 of the following technologies:
  • Swift
  • Kotlin
  • Flutter
  • React Native
  • Vue 3

Preferred Skills

• Swift/SwiftUI, Xcode, CocoaPods, UIKit, CoreData.
• App Store deployment and App Store Connect experience.
• Kotlin and Jetpack Compose expertise.
• Android Studio, Gradle, Firebase experience.
• Flutter and Dart development experience.
• State management using Provider or Riverpod.
• Redux and React Navigation experience.
• Vuex and Vue Router familiarity.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
