Although the title mentions Project Manager, this is not a traditional PM role. It is primarily a hands-on Azure IAM Administrator/Identity Management role with coordination responsibilities. When sourcing, prioritize candidates with strong Azure AD/Entra ID and IAM experience over candidates with only project management backgrounds.
Job Summary
NBCUniversal is seeking an experienced Identity & Access Management (IAM) Project Manager / Azure Administrator to support an enterprise-wide Microsoft tenant consolidation initiative. This role will focus on Azure Active Directory administration, identity governance, user lifecycle management, licensing optimization, and cross-tenant migration activities.
The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of hands-on experience supporting Azure AD/Entra ID environments, identity management, user provisioning, and security operations. Strong ownership, communication, and coordination skills are more important than deep engineering expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Support enterprise Azure AD (Microsoft Entra ID) administration.
- Manage user lifecycle activities including onboarding, offboarding, and access provisioning.
- Administer Azure tenants, security groups, and Microsoft licensing.
- Configure and support Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Conditional Access.
- Review and audit user roles, permissions, and privileged access.
- Support Microsoft tenant consolidation and application migration initiatives.
- Eliminate duplicate user accounts and optimize Microsoft licensing.
- Manage VPN user access and enterprise identity governance.
- Perform periodic access reviews and compliance audits.
- Monitor identity-related security events and remediate access issues.
- Partner with Security, Infrastructure, Network, and Application teams.
- Participate in security reviews for ongoing IT projects.
- Maintain documentation and support audit/compliance requirements.
