Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java/Python AWS Engineer to design, develop, and support cloud-native applications and data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building microservices-based applications, developing REST APIs, and implementing event-driven architectures in AWS environments. This role requires hands-on expertise with Java, Python, Spring Boot, and key AWS services to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications using Java, Python, and Spring Boot.
  • Build scalable microservices and RESTful APIs following modern software engineering best practices.
  • Develop and support event-driven solutions for real-time and asynchronous processing.
  • Design and implement solutions using AWS services including S3, Glue, ECS, DynamoDB, Lambda, and Redshift.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to define technical requirements and solution designs.
  • Create and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and follow DevOps best practices.
  • Monitor application health, troubleshoot production issues, and improve system reliability using observability tools.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design sessions.
  • Ensure applications meet security, performance, scalability, and operational requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java and Python development.
  • Proven experience developing applications using Spring Boot.
  • Extensive experience with Microservices Architecture and REST API development.
  • Strong understanding of Event-Driven Architecture patterns.
  • Hands-on AWS experience with:
    • Amazon S3
    • AWS Glue
    • Amazon ECS
    • Amazon DynamoDB
    • AWS Lambda
    • Amazon Redshift
  • Experience with containerized and cloud-native application development.
  • Experience with source control and CI/CD using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Apache Kafka for event streaming and messaging.
  • Experience with Supergraph/GraphQL Federation architecture.
  • Familiarity with enterprise scheduling tools such as Control-M.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools including Honeycomb and Splunk.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
