A Pennsylvania-based higher education support organization is seeking a Developer, COTS/PeopleSoft to join its Enterprise Systems team in Harrisburg, PA (Hybrid). This contract-to-hire opportunity offers the chance to support and enhance approximately 30 enterprise applications built on Oracle PeopleSoft, including Financials and HR/Payroll modules. Required Skills & Experience
- SQL Server experience with the ability to read, write, and troubleshoot SQL queries
- Object-oriented development experience using C#, VB.NET, .NET, or comparable technologies
- Understanding of APIs, Windows Services, and system integrations
- Experience working within a structured IT environment supporting enterprise applications
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes
- Experience developing, testing, documenting, and maintaining application solutions
- Ability to participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to support production systems and participate in on-call rotations

Daily Responsibilities
- Build, enhance, and maintain solutions within PeopleSoft Financials, HR/Payroll, and related applications
- Develop and execute unit tests and support functional testing efforts
- Participate in code reviews and technical review sessions
- Troubleshoot application issues and support production environments
- Maintain technical documentation and code repositories
- Work with team members to improve application performance and reliability
- Participate in a shared on-call support rotation
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver application improvements
