Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Front-End Developer with strong Django/Python experience to join an application development team in St. Louis. This role focuses primarily on modern front-end development while requiring solid experience working with Django/Python backends, REST APIs, databases, and existing web applications.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across the application stack, troubleshooting issues, collaborating with technical and business teams, and enhancing existing applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance responsive, user-friendly web applications.
• Build and maintain applications using Django and Python.
• Create reusable front-end components and modern user interfaces.
• Integrate front-end applications with Django-based backend services and REST APIs.
• Work within existing Django applications to troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs for data-driven functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve front-end and backend application issues.
• Optimize applications for performance, usability, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment activities.
• Work with relational databases and modify SQL queries when required.
• Contribute to application architecture, development standards, and overall code quality.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional Front-End/Web Application Development experience.
• Strong Django and Python experience.
• Strong JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 skills.
• Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience integrating applications with REST APIs.
• Knowledge of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or similar relational databases.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
• Ability to work effectively within an existing codebase.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
