Mainframe Engineer
Contract level 3 (10+ years)

Hybrid - Vienna, VA or Winchester, VA - 3x a week in the office

Only W2 

Key Technical Expertise Required:

  • Systems & Architecture: Expert-level experience with IBM System Automation for z/OS, IBM NetView, and CICS availability/recovery automation.
  • Programming & Scripting: Advanced REXX programming for enterprise automation solutions, command processors, and automation routines.
  • Environments & Tools: Strong knowledge of Parallel Sysplex environments, JCL, SDSF, TSO/ISPF, z/OS UNIX System Services, and z/OS operations.
  • Workload & Monitoring: Experience with IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS, TWS, ZWS) and event management tools like IBM OMEGAMON, ServiceNow, and Moogsoft.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with OMEGAMON situation development, GDPS, and disaster recovery automation.
  • Familiarity with Ansible, REST APIs, and mainframe modernization technologies.
