We are seeking a highly skilled IT Architect and Technical Lead (Contractor) with extensive experience in Emerson / AspenTech’s Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) and Outage Management System (OMS).
The successful candidate will lead the design, implementation, and integration of Emerson / AspenTech’s Digital Grid Management (DGM) solutions, ensuring exceptional performance and alignment with client requirements. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
Location: This is a remote position and requires occasional travel.
Responsibilities:
· Lead end-to-end architecture design for ADMS/OMS implementations, including SCADA, DMS (Distribution Management System), OMS, and integrations with GIS, AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure), Distribution Automation, and enterprise systems.
· Define control center configurations, system topologies, high-availability architectures, and disaster recovery strategies that align with client needs and vendor/industry best practices.
· Support delivery of ADMS, OMS, and/or DERMS projects, including solution design, system integration, configuration, testing, and go-live support.
· Lead and assist with the integration of ADMS/OMS with existing utility systems, including SOM, SCADA, GIS, and SAP, to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
· Lead and assist with the configuration of ADMS/OMS with existing utility systems, including outage job functionality from calls, job creation to job closure and reporting, to ensure seamless workflow and operational efficiency
· Lead and assist with Data Model and Data Migration from old to new OMS systems.
· Provide technical guidance to project delivery teams, including mentoring junior developers and coordinating with stakeholders to meet project milestones. Also need to assist with technical development of the project.
