Position: Sr. Storage Engineer – SRDF/STAR Replication (Dell EMC Specialist)

Length: 12-18 Months Contract to Perm

Location: 100% REMOTE!

Shift: Tuesday – Saturday, 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm, OR 9am-5pm EST

On-Call: Yes, likely on-call but they want to keep you at 40 hours a week while on contract

 Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Storage Engineer with deep, master‑level expertise in Dell EMC SRDF/STAR replication technologies. This role is responsible for engineering, supporting, and optimizing multi‑site enterprise storage environments with a focus on high availability, disaster recovery, and mission‑critical data protection. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience across Dell EMC storage platforms, Vblock infrastructure, blade chassis ecosystems, Brocade SAN fabrics, and multi‑OS virtualization environments.

Key Responsibilities:

SRDF/STAR Engineering & Operations

• Provide high level support of SRDF/STAR multi‑site replication for zero‑data‑loss and continuous‑availability environments.
• Manage RDF groups, consistency groups, and inter‑array replication workflows across PowerMax/VMAX arrays.
• Lead failover, failback, resync, and DR orchestration activities for complex STAR topologies.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of replication issues, inter‑site connectivity, and performance anomalies.

Enterprise Storage & SAN Infrastructure

• Support and optimize Brocade SAN switches, zoning, ISLs, and fabric health.
• Manage storage provisioning, masking, performance tuning, and capacity planning across large‑scale environments.
• Utilize Secure Connect Gateway for proactive monitoring, support case automation, and remote connectivity.
