Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Systems Engineers with strong Linux and Storage administration expertise to support a cloud migration and infrastructure modernization initiative. The consultants will be responsible for managing Linux servers, enterprise storage platforms, system performance, disaster recovery, and operational support throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, administer, and maintain Linux server environments.
Manage enterprise storage infrastructure, including provisioning, performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
Support server migrations, infrastructure deployments, and cloud transformation initiatives.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimization recommendations.
Support high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements.
Perform system patching, upgrades, security hardening, and compliance activities.
Collaborate with cloud architects, network engineers, DBAs, and application teams during project execution.
Develop technical documentation, operational procedures, and support runbooks.
Provide production support during deployment, cutover, and post-production stabilization activities.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of experience in Linux System Administration and Enterprise Storage Management.
Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Oracle Linux, CentOS, or similar Linux distributions.
Experience with SAN, NAS, enterprise storage systems, and storage provisioning.
Knowledge of Linux performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.
Experience with backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, or similar).
Experience supporting cloud migration and infrastructure modernization projects.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Linux certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or equivalent.
Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, or Azure.
Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies.
Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability tools.
Support the full project lifecycle, including Planning, Iteration 1, Iteration 2, Iteration 3, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Dry Runs, Disaster Recovery (DR) Build & Testing, Production Cutover, and Hypercare activities.
