Solution Architect (AWS to Azure Migration)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to lead the architecture and design of a large-scale cloud migration from Amazon Web Services (AWS) to Microsoft Azure.

This role will be responsible for defining the target-state Azure architecture, guiding REST API and microservices design, ensuring cloud-native best practices, and leading the modernization of applications during migration.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in both AWS and Azure ecosystems, API architecture, distributed systems, and enterprise integration patterns.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Migration Architecture

Define end-to-end migration strategy (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor)
Design Azure landing zone and governance model
Architect high-availability, scalable, and secure Azure environments
Assess current AWS workloads and define Azure equivalents

REST API & Microservices Architecture

Define API-first architecture strategy
Establish REST API standards (security, versioning, throttling, observability)
Design microservices architecture patterns
Guide development teams building APIs
Implement API gateway strategy using Azure API Management

Required Qualifications

10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in Solution Architecture
Strong hands-on experience in both AWS and Azure
Proven experience leading AWS → Azure migration programs
Deep understanding of RESTful API architecture
Experience with microservices and container platforms
Strong knowledge of networking, security, and cloud governance
Experience in enterprise integration patterns
