Summary
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Agile Scrum Master to join our team in a hybrid capacity in Dallas or Tampa. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of Agile principles and a collaborative leadership style to guide geographically dispersed teams toward successful project delivery. This role involves facilitating Agile ceremonies, promoting continuous improvement, and ensuring clarity in communication and planning to achieve high-quality, predictable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate meaningful relationships with team members, building trust and resolving issues effectively through rapport.
- Serve as a proactive change agent and peer, embracing and driving continuous learning and process enhancements.
- Foster a team culture focused on sustainable execution by understanding capacity constraints and impediments.
- Coach the team to provide valuable input for decision-making processes and foster a journey toward self-sufficiency through experimentation.
- Facilitate coaching sessions tailored to various roles (PO, QA, Dev, etc.) and encourage active participation during ceremonies.
- Mediate conflicts within the team and ensure a safe, collaborative environment.
- Possess and apply a comprehensive understanding of Agile frameworks, tools, principles, and values to maximize team success.
- Guide Product Owners and teams in maintaining a healthy, prioritized backlog with refined user stories.
- Balance delivery schedules with ongoing iterations, incorporating customer feedback effectively.
- Ensure transparent communication with stakeholders through concise updates on progress, risks, and impediments.
- Support release planning activities and coordinate the movement of code between development, testing, UAT, and production environments.
- Participate in Scrum of Scrums meetings to align team priorities, dependencies, and timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Agile development, with prior Scrum Master or similar roles.
- Background in the software development lifecycle.
- Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- At least 1 year of relevant experience or related academic coursework.
- Certified Scrum Master credential is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Kiro, Copilot, or other AI platforms is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience with structured enterprise problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, DMAIC, or equivalent frameworks).
