Job Description

In this role, the Engineer will develop specifications, testing plans, inspections, and technical documentation for advanced nuclear reactor technology. The engineer will develop testing strategies and conduct confirmation and validation testing for next-generation reactor systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, schedule, and execute engineered tests for new technology solutions to meet customer, design, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with technical experts within the team and across adjacent workgroups.
  • Apply strong technical problem-solving skills to assess issues and develop logical solutions.
  • Demonstrate ownership of tasks, proactively communicate updates, and deliver assignments on time.
  • Identify, document, and help resolve technical risks within projects.
  • Develop sound design bases that align with business objectives, project requirements, and industry standards.
  • Prepare and present technical data to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with technicians to assemble fixtures, prepare testing facilities, and conduct specialized testing activities.
  • Develop manual or automated production test procedures to ensure product reliability and functionality.
  • Provide technical support to technicians during testing activities.
  • Occasionally travel domestically or internationally for customer or supplier meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent qualification and experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of testing experience with complex electrical or electro-mechanical systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to learn and expand technical skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong teamwork, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Experience with testing methodologies and approaches for validating new designs.
  • Working knowledge of measurement devices and calibration processes.

Technical Skills

Required

  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with FPGA.
  • Experience with automated test systems and writing automated test programs.
  • Minimum 5 years of testing experience.
  • Programming experience with C, Python, LabVIEW, or LabWindows.
  • Experience with verification and validation testing.

Nice to Have

  • Experience using measurement instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and related testing tools.
