Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with 7+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications on IBM Mainframe systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS, along with experience in production support and system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications on IBM Mainframe systems
• Develop and support batch and online processes using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning
• Work on production support, incident resolution, and root cause analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and infrastructure teams
• Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and data migrations
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security policies, and best practices
• Document technical designs, processes, and system changes

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Mainframe development
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • COBOL
  • JCL
  • DB2
  • CICS
  • VSAM
• Experience with IBM z/OS environment
• Good understanding of batch processing and online transaction systems
• Strong SQL and DB2 stored procedures knowledge
• Experience in debugging, performance tuning, and optimization
• Familiarity with version control and change management tools (Endevor, Changeman, etc.)
